Kemal Carr

As president of Madison Advisors, Kemal Carr acts in numerous capacities. He is regularly sought out by leading output technology publications, including Data Processing Technology, Digital Publishing Solutions, and Mailing Systems Technology, to write about or comment on key issues and topics. He speaks frequently at trade events, including sessions at Xplor’s Global conferences. Carr also acts as a principal analyst for Madison Advisors. He provides project-based advisory services designed to assist clients with business strategy and technology selection decisions.
Prior to forming Madison Advisors in 2001, Carr held various system roles including three years with an industry analyst firm Doculabs, and seven years in the Systems Company of Fidelity Investments.
Terry Frasier

Terry Frazier is a strategic consultant with more than 20 years of experience in graphic arts, customer communications, and content systems. He has held both operational and executive management positions in a variety of communications businesses, managing technology, manufacturing, and distribution operations. He previously served as Senior Applications Specialist for IBM, where he developed the color print application for the world’s first and largest one-off POD book manufacturer.
Frazier was a Founding Director of the CRM Association a nationally chartered, non-profit organization following the trends and technologies of one-to-one marketing. He has authored numerous papers on one-to-one documents, variable data, and digital content systems.
Richard Huff

Richard Huff joined Madison Advisors in 2002 as a principal analyst. Huff’s expertise spans content management, publishing systems, digital printers, and electronic document delivery systems, including EOMS and EBPP. Huff assists clients with enterprise document strategies, product selection, and market development initiatives. Huff has authored articles for numerous industry publications, including Document, Digital Publishing Solutions, High Volume Printing, and The Xplorer.
Prior to Madison Advisors, Huff was a senior analyst with Doculabs, where he was lead analyst for end-user and vendor consulting engagements. Huff also had eight years of experience at Uarco, Inc., a manufacturer of customized business forms and label products.
Robert Raus

Robert Raus brings over 20 years of experience in industrial software and solutions product marketing, production digital printing, industry marketing, variable data composition, output management, content/document management, complex project management and product lifecycle management at national and global 500 companies to Madison Advisors. As a principal analyst, he leads consulting and research initiatives, combining structured problem analysis and problem solving practices with operational knowledge to develop ad execute innovative strategies. Raus has been sought out to present and participate on expert panels at many industry events including Xplor, On Demand, Print!, Graph Expo and Graphics of the Americas during his career.
Prior to working with Madison Advisors, Raus was Director of Software and Services marketing at Océ, where he rebranded and developed break through web-based sales tools and training programs while for the PRISMA family of software products. He has also worked with Xerox, where he developed and launched business solutions that targeted conversion of traditional document fulfillment procedures to automated composition and print-on-demand solutions for the securities, insurance, health care, banking and manufacturing industries. He has also worked with EFI, he managed worldwide marketing and integration for the VUTEk family of superwide inkjet printers.
Jim Sheen

Jim Sheen has more than 20 years of experience in the development and marketing of high-tech software products. Most recently, Sheen was Director of Application Services at Ricoh Corporation, a world leader in office equipment and document imaging solutions, with P&L responsibility for Document Management solutions. Before joining Ricoh Corporation, he was President and CTO of CyLex Systems, a leading Document Management ASP which was later acquired by Ricoh. He has held positions as a management consultant in software development, marketing, and strategic planning; was the founder, director, and vice president of engineering at Software Emancipation Technology, Inc.; and Director of Engineering and Marketing at Computervision Corp., responsible for its CAD/CAM and Product Data Management product lines.
Sheen serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, and on the College of Engineering Executive Advisory Council at Florida Atlantic University.
Stephen Watters

Stephen Watters began working with Madison Advisors in 2005 as a principal analyst. Watters specializes in transactional print and mail production environments. His specific experience with automated document factory systems includes design, building, and implementation of an ADF. Watters has conducted market analysis studies and developed marketing strategies for both production hardware and ADF software. He has worked with end-user organizations to analyze their production environments and determine where operational efficiencies could be achieved. Watters has been a presenter and speaker at Xplor, MailCom, and National Postal Forum conferences throughout his career.
Watters spent a number of years in various leadership positions at Kern International including General Manager of Kern AG’s U.S. subsidiary. Prior to his years with Kern, Watters spent many years in a leadership role in SBC’s print and mail organization where he lead the design, development and implementation of an automated document factory platform.
Maggie Smith

Maggie Smith began working with Madison Advisors in 2008, as a project manager and senior editor. In these roles, she works closely with Madison Advisors’ clients and project teams to ensure quality and overall success of our engagements.
Smith has over 20 years experience in the Information Technology industry. Most recently, she has worked as an independent consultant, and as a Senior Program Manager/Senior Staff Consultant in the Professional Services Infrastructure Group at Exodus Communications, one of the leading players in the Internet hosting industry. At Exodus, she provided project management and implementation consulting for managed hosting customers; provided business development, sales support and program management for the Security Services Consulting Practice; and managed project teams. Before Exodus, Smith worked in a similar role at a commercial datacenter, owned by the Thomson Corporation (The Gale Group). She also spent eight years as a manager at Harvard University’s Office for Information Technology where she managed service and installation for technology groups with an annual income of $30 million.
